Why It Works for 2-Year-Olds

Around two, play shifts from cause-and-effect into deliberate matching and naming - and this set is built for exactly that jump. Lifting a piece by its peg, turning it to line up with its outline and pressing it home builds pincer grip and hand-eye coordination. Our toys are made of natural wood - solid wood for the main pieces, plus quality engineered wood where a panel needs extra stability. Every piece is sanded smooth and finished, so there are no sharp edges or splinters.

Wood is a natural material, so the piece you receive may show its own grain pattern, color depth and small natural marks. That is not a defect - it is what makes each toy a little different from the last.

Care: wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry right away. Do not soak wooden parts, put them in the dishwasher, or leave them in direct sun or a damp room, since wood can warp and crack. A light coat of food-grade oil once or twice a year keeps the surface fresh.
