I give this toy three stars because it has some nice features but also a few things that could be improved, the animal sounds are fun and help little kids learn what different animals sound like when the pieces are placed in the right spots, which makes playtime more interesting and helps with learning, it supports early thinking skills like matching, memory, and hand and eye use, and that part works well, the wooden pieces are thick and easy for small hands to hold, so it is simple for toddlers to use on their own, and the smooth edges make it feel safe, which I really like, the toy works as expected most of the time, but sometimes the sound does not play right away unless the piece is placed very carefully, which can be frustrating and affects the functionality, the wood feels solid and seems like it can handle normal play, so the durability is okay, but it does not feel extra strong for the price, speaking of price, the value is fair but not amazing since similar toys can be found for less, using it is easy and the design is clear, but the sounds are not very loud and could be clearer, overall it is a nice learning toy with a good idea behind it, but it does not fully stand out, and while it is fun and helpful, it could be better to earn a higher rating.

This was a really cute wooden music toy for toddlers. My daughter loved the animal noises and I really liked the different textures and colors of each animal. As she moved from animal to animal, there were some that were felt, others that were wooly and rubbery. It not only was a cute wooden music toy but it also had multi-sensory exploration for young minds. The puzzle was about an inch thick, so it was really good quality and stable for tummy time.

Batteries were not included and it takes 2 triple A batteries. The battery compartment is on the back and requires a screwdriver to access the batteries. There is also an on/off switch in the back, where the speaker is located.

Overall, I recommend this farm music toy for its quality, educational and tummy time engagement, durability and that it was offered at a very reasonable price! This would make a great gift!

This instrument puzzle board is a fun and engaging toy! It’s sturdy and durable, I love that it's wood. The knobs are perfect for little baby or toddler hands! The variety of instrumens keeps my 1 year old interested and encourages exploration of sounds, and my 3 year old also loves it. The pieces are wellnmade and fit securely, so they don’t feel flimsy or loose. The overall quality is solid, and it holds up well to handling and play. It’s also a good way to introduce early sensory and motor skill development through music and interaction. Overall, it’s an entertaining and well built activity board that provides good value for young children. Oh, and big ups fore the songs that are played. Really solid selection of good music!

This wooden Musical Instrument puzzle is fantastic. The puzzle board is a light finish, solid, thick pressed wood that is very lightweight, the corners are rounded, and the edges are smooth so no splinters. The board has numerous raised purple music notes and 8 thick, instrument puzzle pieces are also very smooth and removable with rounded pegs. The instruments: a Violin, Accordion, Xylophone, Drum, Saxophone, Harmonica and a grand Piano are nicely shaped and sanded smoothly, the images are clear and realistic, the colors are muted and seem to be dyed while the wood was being pressed. When the instruments are removed from their snug designated spots and put back, the sound that the instrument plays is heard through a small speaker on the front of the board, although small, the sound is a good decibel and clear. On the back of the board is a small rectangular area where two AAA batteries are installed and secured with a small Phillips screw with an on/off movable button. I ordered this for my 20mo grandson who is in love with puzzles and he absolutely loves it! I know the price @ $20 is a little steep, the quality and the joy on my grandson’s face makes it a steal.

The design is delightful, rendered in gentle, engaging colors. The wood is smooth, solid, with rounded edges for safety, durability and a rustic charm. The classic, wooden knobs are easy to grasp. It looks fresh, vintage, quaint and modern all at the same time!

Friendly animals wait for little fingers to take them out and hear the sounds they make - - "baa-baa, mew-mew"! The animal sounds are realistic, and just the right volume...not a loud disturbing racket, but plenty loud enough for a little ears (uses two AAA batteries in the back holder, secured by a screw).

The simple puzzle shapes are a great way to develop eye-hand coordination and develop little one's early sensory abilities.

What joy to be with our little ones, as they learn and develop with this darling puzzle!

My true rating for this product is actually 3.5 stars. But since I can't give 1/2 star ratings, I bumped it up to 4.

Overall this is a well-made musical educational toy. It requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included. The board itself is quite thick and sturdy, as are the musical instrument pieces. Here's how it works: you remove a piece from the board and put it back. As you place the board back in, it will play a very short, literally just a few seconds of music from that instrument. That's it. I find that if you remove multiple pieces and put them back, it will sometimes play music from one instrument, and sometimes it will play the 2nd piece.

It's a shame the makers didn't put more thought into this educational toy. It could've been so much better if they added more variety. Like, the musical piece could be a few seconds longer; and they should have offered at least 2 or 3 different tunes from the same instrument. As is, it's the same boring 3 second tune. And my biggest disappointment is the piano sound. To me, I'd expect a decent tune from one of the most popular instruments around. Instead, I got a tune that sounds like EXACTLY like a door bell or a notification on my phone. smh

That said, it's a decent toy to introduce your toddler child to different instruments. The puzzle pieces add another challenge for your toddler. Ok priced but could be a few dollars cheaper.
