About Wood

Our toys are made of natural wood - solid wood for the main pieces, plus quality engineered wood where a panel needs extra stability. Every piece is sanded smooth and finished, so there are no sharp edges or splinters.

Wood is a natural material, so the piece you receive may show its own grain pattern, color depth and small natural marks. That is not a defect - it is what makes each toy a little different from the last.

Care: wipe with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry right away. Do not soak wooden parts, put them in the dishwasher, or leave them in direct sun or a damp room, since wood can warp and crack. A light coat of food-grade oil once or twice a year keeps the surface fresh.

Wood species and finish vary by product. If you need the exact specification for a gift, an allergy concern, or a matching piece, email support@freniland.com with the product name and we will confirm it for you.
